Message from the Head Teacher

Welcome to Oaklands School.I am very proud and privileged to be headteacher of Oaklands and we are all very excited by the school's successes.

We are:

a comprehensive community school of 600 learners and 92 staff with high aspirations for all those who learn and teach at Oaklands.
a fully inclusive school with a wealth of opportunities for all our learners to succeed.
a school which has learning, teaching and achievement as its central focus
a school with a strong international dimension and International Status.
a school which serves the local community and promotes co-operation responsibility and respect.
Oaklands has been a specialist Science College since 2003 and the curriculum is broad.

We are a school which has been awarded Leading Edge status as a result of our many successes and we are also an Extended School which means we offer extensive ‘out of hours' learning and support before and after school.

Oaklands is very much a community school which reflects the local neighbourhood and the community of Tower Hamlets, working together in mutual respect and harmony.

We are building on a successful past and we hope for an even greater future.
