Design and Food Technology caters for both food and nutrition and resistant materials. With excellent facilities, including a kitchen, IT suite, laptops, 3D printer and laser cutters, students can access all aspects of design. At Key Stage 3, year 7 and 8 follow a rotation system, consisting of a 100-minute lesson once a week.

    At Key Stage 4, Food Technology uses the WJEC exam board and Design Technology follows the AQA exam qualification. Both courses focus on developing students' practical design and cooking skills to give them a strong understanding of the industries. Upon completion of this course, students will be qualified to go on to further study or embark on an apprenticeship or full-time career in catering or design.
